HOW I WORK
In each new project, I dedicate a lot of time to researching and thoroughly understanding the requirements of the curator and the conservation team. This allows me to have specialized and detailed knowledge of the theme and the pieces to be exhibited. Based on this knowledge base, I seek formal solutions that bring order and coherence to the exhibition and at the same time facilitate clear and effective communication of the content to visitors. I ensure that each space and every element of the exhibition is integrated, creating an immersive and enriching experience for visitors. At each stage of the project, from conception to production and installation, I am fully committed to ensuring that all details are taken care of and that the solutions are well adapted.
I take care of the entire design process, from idea and production to implementation in the gallery.
I always take into account the narrative tone and the message that the exhibition should convey. Every detail, from the arrangement and disposition of the pieces to the lighting and use of interactive technologies, aims to reflect the history or concept that is to be communicated.
As I work on a project, I collaborate closely with other professionals such as conservators/restorers, engineers, lighting specialists, multimedia experts, and other professionals in the arts and design world. This collaboration is essential to ensure coherence and harmony throughout the exhibition space.
VISUAL COMMUNICATION
My experience in the field of visual communication allows me to use innovative techniques to create a unique immersive experience and enhance the visit to the exhibition.
Graphic communication is an essential element in everything I do. From designing the logo and graphics of the exhibition to the catalog. I like to create designs that reflect the essence of a brand or project, using suitable color palettes, typography, and compositions that fit the desired style and maintain a consistent graphic line.
I also focus on marketing communication. It is important to ensure that the message reaches the audience clearly, using visual resources consistently and linked to the project’s identity. I design signage, promotional materials such as posters, brochures, and images for social media.
CONSERVATION, SUSTAINABILITY AND ACCESSIBILITY
I apply preventive conservation in all projects by controlling environmental factors such as temperature and humidity, using appropriate materials and techniques, and safely disposing of objects. I select suitable materials and construction techniques to reduce objects’ exposure to excessive light and contaminants. It is important that objects are well supported and protected. I study framing and mounting systems that provide protection and facilitate the repair or replacement of elements when necessary.
In addition to functionality and aesthetics, I also care about sustainability. Whenever possible, I use eco-friendly materials that are environmentally friendly and allow for recycling.
I also work on inclusion and accessibility issues. I am attentive to the needs of people with disabilities and seek innovative solutions to ensure that everyone can enjoy the exhibition experience equally. This involves adapting the physical space, using accessible technologies, and creating multilingual and multimodal content to ensure an inclusive experience for all.
